Jesus Only Serves The Father

As God led Israel from Egypt into the "Promised Land," HE gave Moses the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai.

The first and most important among those Commandments is, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." Exodus 20:3-6

As I was working on "Heavenly Guardians," God revealed this painting to me. HE told me to show how even after fasting for forty days and nights, being hungry beyond compare and having been tempted by Satan three times, Jesus continued to praise His Father and Lord. God also told me that I should show HIS mercy concerning those who obey HIS commandments, because as Satan himself mentioned to Jesus, God did send angels to minister to our Messiah.

In Matthew 4:1-11 the author reveals how Satan came to Jesus in what may have been Jesus' weakest moment in His life after His long ardous fast...

Matthew 4
"1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him."

The Guardians are Watching

Have you ever felt the presence of someone or something only to turn and find no one or nothing there?

I can't say how many times I have had that kind of experience since I accepted Jesus as my Savior, but I am certain that it is the angel or angels HE has sent to guard over me. Do you have such an angel?

Why not trust the Lord and ask Him to be your Lord, as well. I can certainly guarantee heartfelt peace.

Psalm 91
1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Weights and Measures

One night as I was praying, God reminded me of a verse in Romans. As the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, he said, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23)

Later as I was sleeping, I received a vision from God in a dream. It was early morning on March 16th about 5AM, when I felt God's spirit settle on me. The vision was so very clear, I knew this was what HE wanted me to paint next.

The vision was divided into three different teirs or levels, somewhat foggy or faded where they blended together.

On ther bottom-most layer through the fires of Hell, the dragon face of Satan peers out waiting to devour the woman in the mid-level.

The woman sits huddled beside the graves of her family, who she recently lost in an acident. She appeared in the vision to be wracked in pain, very scared, dying or all of them at once. Around her head the memories from her life swirled, some plummeting towards Satan while others floated toward Jesus, who was on the uppermost level of the vision.

Jesus was walking along a garden path through a forested area towards the light of Heavenly places. Before HE entered into the light, HE stopped and turned back towards the woman, stretched out HIS arms to her and whispered with a booming voice, "The wages of sin are death, but you may have eternal life through me."

As HE beconed the woman softly, I felt tears come to my eyes and heard my own voice saying, "Go to Him. Go to Jesus!" but the woman seemed to be in a dreamlike state; she could not hear me.

I pray that every person who views this painting, and feels some kind of pain will stop to hear Jesus' voice. HE wants you to come to HIM to share the treasures that HE and HIS father have laid up in Heaven for you. All you have to say is, "Lord I need you in my life. Forgive my sins, and take me into your bosom."

It doesn't matter how "BAD" you have been, it doesn't matter if you have "WORSHIPPED" another God or even Satan, for that matter. All that matters is that you ask Jesus to come into your life, and HE will.

This Painting is called, "Weighing the Wages and the Gift." I began "painting" it on the 16th of March, and it was finished on April 9, 2009.

In the Beginning

The Bible says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genisis 1:1)

I have been listening to the Lord, God, and He instructed me to depict His creations, which I have done.

It wasn't an easy task. Quite frankly, I wasn't there. So, I had to depend upon the visions God gave me and allow Him to guide my mind and my hand as I created the digital painting you see here.

God created this earth for the people He put on it, beginning with Adam and Eve. He gave it to us to care for, not to destroy, which is what we are doing. We are the caretakers of this place in the heavens that we call home, and we all need to be aware that God knows (and has known for millennia) what we are doing to it. We all need to take care of that which God has given us.

God told me to call this painting "The Firmament." It was begun in early December 2008 and completed February 5, 2009.

God has Re-Awakened My Spirit

God has been waiting on me for a long time... HE has waited for me to accept the task that HE has put before me; HE has waited to ask, "Are you ready to become an artist in the King's Court?"; and, HE has waited for me to say, "Yes, Lord, I will do your bidding."

I have been a Christian since I was 13 years old: I'm now in my 50s.

All this time, I (literally) have wandered the Earth alone. Well, not exactly alone; I have a family and God has always been with me, but I have always felt the loner.

God's Holy Spirit hovers over, around and actually indwells me, patiently refining my spiritual substance to reflect the image of the risen Messiah, Jesus Christ. HE has never left me, even though there have been times when I didn't believe HE was close by. HE has remained with me, even when I hardened my heart towards HIM. HE has had a plan for me, and I know now that I have wasted a lot of time -- time I should have spent doing God's work.

Now, I find no rest in my spirit, because I feel an urgency to do God's work.
